Brandon Thomas De La Cruz takes a literary approach to songwriting. His lyrics are uniquely shaped by his interest in RH Blyth’s translations of haiku. His approach to music is inspired by the improvised weekly performances that Jon Brion gave earlier in his career. His last release, Three Songs, based on stories by JD Salinger, appeared on You Should Never Have Opened That Door’s “Best of 2014” list. In 2015, he appeared on Daytrotter to showcase new songs. He currently lives in Portland, OR.
